Migration has become one of the most significant social processes globally and the issues related to migration and integration are the focus of agendas of public institutions, non-governmental organisations or policies.
Notwithstanding, due to the acceleration of societal, demographic, economic, developmental and environmental changes, migration will most likely increase continuously and so will also its diversity. International migration has multiple dimensions, which raises questions that need to be rethought in order to understand the full complexity of the phenomena. With a narrowed focus on migration among the diverse actors, the importance of scientific enquiry in the area increases and scholars must cope with the changing nature and extent of migration and mobility flows.
